What’s in my Journal…
Hello Friend!
I haven’t been posting on this blog like I said I would! But I do have some things to share with you. I think it was about a year and a half ago that I really got into collecting stickers. It genuinely makes me happy to make a trip to Michael’s, Daiso, or The Dollar Tree and search for stickers that I think are cool or cute. I could spend hours scrolling through online shops that supply stationary <3 The colors, the designs, the packaging, it’s all so pretty! I didn’t just want to hoard everything, so I started to give myself some time to make collages and drawings on the left pages of my journal. I use the right pages for to-do lists, brainstorming and brain drain.
I have allowed myself to make ugly things and to experiment without the final product having to be graded or critiqued by others. I have spent too many years being an art student! I needed a place to make a mess. My journals have also become a place to experiment with techniques and medium. Right now I am trying out pastels and different methods of blending to create gradients.
It has been a fun and therapeutic process! I would definitely recommend this to you if you’re looking for a de-stressor. It also makes your inner child very happy :D
I am curious! What are your favorite places to shop for stationary? Have you heard of MUJI?? I wish I lived next to MUJI!!
